Tower Bridge is actually named for it’s proximity to the Tower of London, which is a disappointingly short building, not even reaching as high as the towers on the bridge.

For the longest time I thought this was London Bridge, perhaps it’s because it’s a historic and iconic bridge that everyone associates with London.
The actual London Bridge is quite boring as you will see if you do a Google image search for London Bridge (and ignore all the photos of the Tower Bridge).
As before most images will be straight off the camera with no post processing and where it does occur post processing I’ll probably mention it in the description. This is purely because I’m lazy and post processing (and posting for that matter) feels like a chore.

This bridge was built to bypass the narrow road across the top of the dam.
Officially it’s called the Mike O’Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge in memory of a couple of deceased American servicemen.

Random fact of the day, Golden Gate actually refers to the mouth of the lake where it joins the sea and a lot of things in this area are named for it.

I love the way this came together, it was a total spur of the moment shot. Fortunately I had the camera out an on as the Opera House passed behind Ankita redoing her hair.

This is the east pillar of the Anzac bridge. The Anzac bridge is the second most prominent bridge in Sydney after the harbor bridge.
It’s name derives from the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps and it has at the top of it’s two pillars an Australia and a New Zealand flag. The east pillar carries the Australian flag.
As a Kiwi it’s a touch humbling to see the New Zealand flag on the west pillar, it’s rather difficult to imagine an Australian flag flying on the Auckland Harbor bridge.
