Same Crane Different Light

This is another shot of the crane from before. However this was taken much later in the day and the lighting is all different. I think I prefer this one.

Time out

Not sure about this one. I don’t usually photograph people. But something about it caught my interest.

Another Crane

I like the old cranes. They are like silent sentries, like the robots in Laputa.

Old Paint

The old house that was playing host to the glitter works also had some totally epic paint peeling going on.

Glitter Detail

Here’s a detail shot of a little corner of the glitter painting. Clearly the creator is a Kiwi, hence the Koru.

Glitter

Glitter

As I mentioned before we were nominally at Cockatoo Island to check out art installations as part of the vivid Sydney festival.

Now I’m not really one for art and most of it didn’t really do anything for me, hence the lack of art photos, however there was this one set of “paintings” done in colored glitter that I quite liked.

Reflected

Reflected

I’m not sure what it is that I like about this one.

I took the photo because I wanted to know what was down the hole, I had no idea that it was full of water and subsequently would produce such a good reflection.

Rusty Wall

I particularly liked the way the light blooms around the rust holes.

Telegraph Pole 2

Another rusty old telegraph / power pole (as opposed to another shot of the same one).
