One of the other great parts of the hotel is the front veranda.
The veranda runs along the front of the hotel looking out over the gardens. It has these cool green stone tables and is sheltered enough to be comfortable even when it’s raining out. The perfect place for a mid day beer.
Now I would never pick the hotel’s flowers, that’s kinda rude, but on this paricular occasion a little girl was passing her time by picking a flower for each person sitting on the veranda. So here’s mine resting on the stone table.

There was this potted plant on the window sill at work for a while. It had pretty flowers so I took a few photos.
This here of course is the center of the flower.

After I got bored of Surry Hills I headed north again, back past home and then up through Hyde park and on toward the botanical gardens.
Hyde park is always a good place for photographing flowers and I do love the bright colors.
