This is another shot of the crane from before. However this was taken much later in the day and the lighting is all different. I think I prefer this one.

This is the view from pillbox at the center of the bunker complex, it sits between the two artillery pits and has 180deg views of the ocean around the opening of the bay.

This was a little pillbox. The window to the right is the same one as from the earlier photo.
This is actually a full 360deg panorama.You can see bottom right the tip of the letter from the left.
I shot this off the tripod with the rotator setup. I also used the flash as the inside was quite dim compared to the bright daylight outside.

Graffiti inside some of the ruins at Bonita point.
I’m not dumb enough to want to go walking around on the obviously unsound planking in there, however I was surprised that more of these areas haven’t been fenced off as dangerous. Not that I’d advocate fencing them off, I’m a big fan of taking the warning labels off everything and letting Darwin deal with the idiots.

As I mentioned before there are a bunch of old WW2 fortifications at Bonita point.
We spent a bunch of time clambering in and around them taking photos.
I like this one for the natural way the window frames the inland view and the contrast they create.
Although if I did it again I might try to boost the foreground light.

So this is the main Church of Scientology in San Fran.
Normally I wouldn’t care at all, but it’s a cool old building. Also if I understand things correctly this was the headquarters of Transamerica before they built themselves that huge pyramid.
